Let's start with demo data. You should have a study called "St. Pete" -
*note: you can remove this demo data at anytime by clicking the trash icon; however, let's leave it for now to follow-along.
What am I looking at here?
Each box on this screen contains a market study. If you've elected multiple market(s), you may see multiple boxes. Each box contains the market study name, as well as the option to view visitation data by map / charts or table view. The line chart under the study name is representative of all data (months in this case) for the market. St. Pete data has 30 available months as of the time of this writing.
View Visitor Data in Maps & Charts
Go ahead and click the map icon beside the table icon in the lower right hand corner of the market study box.
This will open a screen containing a map and charts:
By default, all available months will be selected. To change this filter, use the slider on top of the map. The first point is the beginning month, and optionally, the second point is the last month. In this instance, I have selected Jan 2017 - Dec 2017. The points are draggable - to select one individual month, you can simply drag either point on top of the other.
We load the state map upon load. You can see that highlighted above the charts to the right. You may select MSA, County, or Tract, to change the visuals on the map.
The study area is the market area you defined when generating your order. To see summaries by individual POIs, simply uncheck the study area (in this case Pinellas County), and check another POI type.
POI types are defined during the market order generation process.
Visitation Trends are the month-over-month comparison, populated by the selected months in your filter.
Top POI Visits will vary depending on the POI grouping you select from the filter(s) on the map. If you select "Beach" from the list, the charts will update to show visitation information for that specific group.
Feeder market(s) identify the top feeder markets at the map display level selected (in this case, state is the default). You can change the granularity from the STATE - MSA - COUNTY - TRACT buttons.
Class Segmentation is the social demographic grouping for visitors to the selected point of interest - your study area, POI group(s), or individual POI.
